Exposition of Folk Architecture and Dwelling in Martovce

The exposition is the part of Danube Region Museum in Komárno and is situated 18 km far from Komárno. It consists of the traditional peasant house which has been housing an exposition of popular architecture since 1975. According to the inscription of the crossbeam the house was built in 1871, from mud and straw, its facade made by wicker – work and the house covered with reeds. The house is divided into three rooms: the clear room, the kitchen with opened chimney and the back room, all furnished with furnishings from Martovce.
